Beignet

 

Ingredients

 

  • 2 cups beignet mix

  • ½ tablespoon nutmeg

  • ½ tablespoon cinnamon

  • 7 oz. water

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce

  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

  • 1 mint sprig

 

DIRECTIONS: 

 

First, add beignet mix, cinnamon, and nutmeg into a large bowl and mix. Next, add water to the bowl and mix again. Then sprinkle flour on countertop to kneed beignet mixture. Cut the dough into the size of golf balls and fry in canola oil for about 5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Top with strawberries, ice cream, caramel sauce, and powdered sugar. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve.
